Mark’s #30 – Food: A Love Story by Jim Gaffigan

It’s time for me to catch up on some reviews… so I’ll keep this brief.

If you know who comedian Jim Gaffigan is, you know he is hilarious. Through the years, much of his comedy has centered around food – “Hot Pockets!” “Bacon!”

If you’re looking for some light comedy reading (or listening in my case), Food: A Love Story will not disappoint.

Here’s a few quotes to whet your appetite:

“Overweight people have chosen food over appearance. When a fat person talks about a great place to get a burger, I lean in. They know.”

“Fortune cookies are an American invention, and we gave it to them. The Chinese were probably like, “Uh, we don’t want it.” And we were like, “It’s now part of your ethnic identity.”
