JRF’s #1 – Harry Potter and the Cursed Child by J.K. Rowling, John Tiffany and Jack Thorne

Starting 2017 off with an easy one.  And glad I did.  If you loved or even liked the original books/movies, you will live this solid edition.   HPCC picks up 19 years after the end of the Battle of Hogwarts (nerd alert!) and taps into everything that made the original stories so powerful:  flawed heroes, intricate plots, hitting you in the feels, the messy vitality of friends and family, and the supremacy of sacrificial love.

Really good.  If you aren’t familiar with the series, don’t start with this one, but Potterheads will be fully satisfied.   Note:  this is a script for a play, not a fully developed novel.  Having said that the story suffers none from the different format.  Would love to see this on the stage.
